May is the last month of Spring, so it might just be time to get out and get to know the neighborhood! Just as you might expect, there’s loads to do in Stamford this spring/summer from the fantastic Rye Arts in the Park Festival to free outdoor fitness classes in Latham Park and Veterans Memorial Park.

Street Beats, a live musical performance in Downtown Stamford, starts right now in May, running throughout the summer. Got talent? You can actually apply to perform! Fill out the application here.
Duck, Duck, Goose: Art in Public Places, in Stamford Downtown is an interactive sculpture exhibit that will be on display Summer 2023. The exhibit was open to the local and regional art community, with participants chosen through a juried selection process, and will display 24 decorated fiberglass ducks.
In honor of Cinco de Mayo, the Stamford Chamber will be hosting a, well, fiesta, at the One Club Tequila Lounge. The Chamber is also hosting its 33rd annual golf tournament on May 15th.
For those looking for a family-friendly and meaningful way to spend the day, the Walk to End Epilepsy will take place on May 6th at Cove Island Park. Also on May 6th is the Sign of the Whale – Kentucky Derby Party. Looking for 3 days of fun? Head to the Cinco Loco Festival.
On May 7th, the Ferguson Library is hosting World Fest: One City, Many Cultures, to celebrate the rich cultural traditions and vibrant heritage of the diverse Stamford community through dance, music, and food. Harbor Point Wines and Spirits will be hosting a May 11th Palate Educational Wine Dinner at Valbella with a guest speaker. Join for a special Burgundy Wine Dinner at Valbella, one of the top restaurants in the area, located in Riverside, CT (off exit 5.) The Avon Theatre Sneak Preview is also the place to be and with the Pedal Cruise landing in Harbor Point for the summer, there’s fun for the whole family. Join the Pedal Cruise on June 6th for a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony with Stamford Mayor Caroline Simmons, followed by courtesy cruises at 11:20 a.m. and 11:40 a.m.!
